Lola at 3 and a half months

Lola is now a mighty 102 centermetres. My little munchkin is growing fast.

Jack's first tooth

Jack's first tooth is well on the way! He has been veryy dribbly and snotty over the past few days and now we know why. Mamma detested the tooth and we all had a good feel and he bit our fingers.

And they all rolled over ....

...and one fell out! Not this time though. The news is that Jack is now rolling over! And now there is no stopping him. He'll be crawling in no time we think. The only downside to this great news is the fact that we now cannot leave the room when he is on his back otherwise he might just roll away.

Sofia, Lola and I all witnessed Jack's first official roll over when we were all on Rinsegård beach enjoying the sunshine.

Lola & Tom & Jerry

I've managed to download a collection of classic Tom & Jerry cartoons from the 1940's. These are the classics produced by Fred Quimby. Lola and I have been watching them and she absolutley loves them. Here is some footage of her laughing at one particular cartoon called 'Fraidy Cat'.

Horseplay at the Apple Garden Cafe

On Sweden national day (June 6) the family and I went for a drive out to Slöinge and went to have some lunch at the very lovely Apple Garden Cafe. While we were there we had a lovely lunch and played a few games; one of which was Sofia prettending to be a horse for Lola.

Falkenberg Day

Our lovely little town celebrated 'Falkenbergdag' on Saturday. The town was pretty busy with lots of local produce on sale and bits and pieces on display. I managed to buy some sausauges from Gudmansgården (MMmmmmmm). We also saw some Alpacas (!) and went and had a nose in the local museum. We also went to Valerna in the evening and met up with Anders, Viggo and Mira. Really nice family day out in the sun.

Lola is a very good big sister to Jack and she is very, very attentive to her little brother. Phew!

And Jack makes four!

On April 15th at 5.35am Jack Anthony James Ryan was born. He weighed in at 8lbs 9oz (3890g) and measured 51cm. As you can see from the pictures below he is a little smasher!

Jack and Sofia came home from the hospital today and it was the first time he was able to meet Lola. Luckily Lola loves her little brother and loves her new Big Sister status.

Due date has past.

The due date for baby number 2 was yesterday. So now we are playing the waiting game....

Sleepy nighty snoozy snooze

Lola is so full of beans during the day that she is all tired out by the evening (well most of the time). At the moment she is usually in bed by 7.30 having a story read to her. Here is a picture of a 'plum tuckered' Lola (and Bunny of course) taking a well deserved sleep in Mamma and Daddy's bed.

Not long now

Sofia is now in week 39 so not too long before baby number 2 arrives. Sofia had her her done just before this picure was taken - a bit of a trim and some highlights to get her looking fabulous for the birth. We are all really looking forward to meeting the little fella/lady.

Easter / Påsk highlights

We had a lovely and very busy Easter visiting friends and family in and around Falkenberg. Suffice to say that we all over indulged with food, cake, godis and chocolate. On the Monday we went to Eva and Davids and ate waffles with Irene, Anna-Karin, Anders, Viggo and Mira. Lola cycled her tricycle outside for the first time which she loved. Mira and Lola loved playing together which is always nice to see.

Sofia hits the pub

Sofia went out to the pub quiz at Harry's bar with her colleagues tonight. No drinking of course. She just wanted to show off her vast musical knowledge to all. Week 37 now and looking gorgeous as always.

Lola hits 100cm

Lola has now reach the heady heights of 100 centimeters! If she carrys on at this rate I think she may be 50 feet tall by the time she hits 17. God help us!

Lola turns 3!

Our lovely little lady has turned 3! How did that happen!? Lola was spoilt rotten by friends and family. Presents included:

• Hello Kitty bag
• Many lovely dresses
• A Sari
• Peppa Pig
• Hula Hoop
• Lipstick!
• Fake nails!!!! (Hmmmm!)

We had a little party for the birthday girls on the Saturday and invited some of her closets pals from Dagis over to celebrate. The guests were; Greta, Noomi, Max; Lovisa and Benjamin. Much fun was had by all and plenty of cake, godis, hotdogs and saft was consumed. It was a really lovely few days for the 3 of us (and the bump).

Dresses for the little lady

Lola is going through a dress phase at the moment so every day she is asking to wear another dress. Here are a selection of her favourites.

 

 

A weekend in Dalsjöfors

Sofia, Lola and I spent a lovely and relaxing weekend in Dalsjöfors with Hanna, Markus and Franz. There was still lots of snow on the ground and plenty of ice on the lake. I can hear you!

Lola is very curious about the little baby in Sofia's belly. Here she is listening in to her brother/sister while Sofia is at week 34.

Sofia and I celebrated our 8 year anniversary (of the first time we met) this evening with a lovely Indian meal at a restaurant in Varberg. Lola spent the night with Mormor and Morfar.

 

 



A walk along the Ätran

Sofia, Lola and I often talk a stroll along the river Ätran. Sometimes we feed the ducks - the very fat and greedy ducks. My favourite is Blue Bill.

A sleep and a stroll

Another walk along the Ätran with Sofia at week 30. As you can see she is very happy. Lola takes her usual pose while asleep.

Spa at Strandbaden

Sofia and I spent a great 24 hours at Strandbaden hotel. We got a great deal which included a 3 course meal, a nights accomodation, breakfast and then 4 hours in the spa. It was great. So relaxing. We were joined by our friends Malin & Petter and Denis &Josefine. We all loved it and it was definitely money well spent. Felt so relaxed when we left. Lola spent her time with Mormor and Morfar wile we were away. Below is the view from our room. Sea view!

Fika on the beach

Had a very lovely fika on Skrea Strand over the weekend. Very cold but it was dry and sunny outside. Nice to sit down and watch the world go by. Lola loved exploring and found lots of shells on the beach. Sofia is blooming well and is now in week 27.
