Last Sunday we were all invited to Pam, Ben and Beth for a Halloween Party. They had made such a huge effort with decorating the house! We all enjoyed the afternoon - especially our little skeleton...

Christening for Lola

On Saturday 23rd October Lola was christened in the Swedish Church up in London (photos to follow). It was a really small gathering but a really lovely day. I think we are welcome back for Lucia even though Lola bit the priest...

First tooth is on the way!

Midsommar i Hyde Park

Lola celebrated her first Swedish Midsummer yesterday in Hyde Park. Weather was lovely and the whole day was fabulous!

Cotswolds

For Lola's second holiday we went to the Cotswolds. We had a lovely house (below) together with 6 other adults and 4 other kids...full on holiday! Weather was great and the company even better - lovely!

First trip abroad

It's been some time since our last post and since Lola has been on her first flight and met her cousin Vide for the first time! It was a great weekend in Sweden and the journey wasn't too bad, Lola wasn't too impressed with flying so she slept most of the way there.

Happy Anniversary!

On Sunday it was one year!!!! since we got married in Falkenberg and it's been a very busy year. Thank you for lovely cards emails and texts. We headed up to London (left Lola with the granparents) for a chocolate making workshop (making truffles is a lot harder than it looks)... I made the most of the chocolate and stuffed my face (as you can see).

On Saturday we met up with the other NCT families for a little reunion, so here is Lola with her new mates. Jeseph, Thomas, Josephine and Beth. Great to see everyone and share 'horror' stories...

Lola 6 weeks!

Time is flying by and Lola and I are keeping busy while dad is at work. Walks along the beach, coffee with other mums and babies and of course - shopping with mum...

After a month (time flies!!!) we are now settling in to a bit of a routine. Lola is good a gold (so far) and a happy little bunny (except for when she is getting out of the bath)...

Our little family unit went out for a quick walk along the seafront today in the lovely sunshine. Lola loved it outside and she loves her Bugaboo!

Introducing our gorgeous baby daughter...Lola Eva Ryan

Our beautiful baby daughter Lola Eva Ryan was born on March 15th at 11:40pm weighing in at 8lbs 11oz. She's absolutly fantastic! Now we're now all getting to know one another.

And still no baby in sight.
But I thought I'd share the joys of pregnancy with you and (and a good laugh)... this is what my feet look like at the moment and I think it goes without saying that my choices when it comes to what shoes to wear are limited...

Yup, due date came and went and still no signs of the little one...

Fingers crossed it will not be too long though, as it is getting pretty heavy (not telling you how much :-) and my feet are definitely two sizes bigger. Just hoping that my ankles will come back when the baby is born!

It's the final countdown na na na naa....Week 39

Spent this lovely sunny day (my birthday) in town with the wife and bump. Bought a little outfit for the nipper which I'm sure they'll be wearing regularly. Only 4 days to go now but we're thinking it may stay in for a little longer as it must be so cosy in there! At least Sofia has somewhere to rest her cup of tea for a few more days.

Feeling Swollen

Less than 2 weeks until 'touch down'... swollen ankles and fingers like little sausages (no photo - sorry). Had a few Braxton Hicks but no signs of the little one wanting to come out. Promise to keep you all updated.

Nice and Stripy - Week 37

Sofia has had her last day at work for some time and is now on maternity leave - Woohoo! Her 'nesting instinct' is now kicking in and the flat is spotless!

Bowling Ball Belly - Week 36

We finished our NCT course and feel much more prepared now. Met some lovely people on our course who we hope to stay in touch with. Our course leader Sarah was really helpful and answered all of our questions. Lot's of movements from the bump now!

Big and Blue - Week 35

We started our NCT course this week and met some other couples who are expecting babies in March. We all asked lots of questions about giving birth, what a contraction feels like, breast feeding etc. They make it all sound so easy!

On Devils Dyke

Two of the prospective grandparents came to visit yesterday and we all went and had a lovely lunch and swift walk on Devils Dyke. Bit nippy out but it was glorious in the sunshine!

Out in the sun - Week 34

Sofia and I went for a walk alond the seafront in the lovely winter sunshine. Bit too cold though so it was back home to tea and hot cross buns. Jobs a good'un!

Sarah, Mark and Oliver came to visit us on Saturday and we had a nice long lunch in town. We then went for a walk on the pier and had a go on the Dolphin Derby (Sarah won...bah!).

Lovely bump - Week 32

The midwife complement Sofia on her 'lovely bump' the other day. All good stuff and both Sofia and the bump are well. Lot's of movement from the bump now too!
